1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the uf2.net API, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use this service.

2. The service

uf2.net provides URL shortening via HTTP API. Submitted URLs are assigned a short code and redirect visitors to the original destination. The service is designed primarily for programmatic use by LLM tools, bots, and engineers.

3. Accounts and API keys

• An API key is required to create short links. Keys are issued at registration.
• Account registration may require a bootstrap token as determined by service configuration.
• You are responsible for keeping your API key confidential. We are not liable for actions taken with a compromised key.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

4. Short links

• Short links do not expire. They remain active until manually deleted or removed by the service operator.
• All short links are publicly accessible. Anyone who possesses the short URL can follow it.
• We reserve the right to disable or remove any short link at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• Custom slugs (vanity URLs) are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Do not use uf2.net as your sole or primary URL registry. Links may be removed at operator discretion.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

6. Privacy and logging

• We log IP addresses, request timestamps, short codes, and click counts as part of normal service operation.
• We do not sell or share this data with third parties, except as required by law.
• Submitted URLs and account metadata are stored in our database.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

uf2.net is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that links will be retained for any specific period.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, uf2.net and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or business interruption.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
